BUDAPEST--German telecommunications company Deutsche Telekom AG (DTE.XE) currently has no plans to buy out minority shareholders in other markets, the company said Monday after it acquired outstanding shares at its Czech unit.

Deutsche Telekom earlier Monday said it acquired the remaining 39.23% stake in its T-Mobile Czech Republic unit for about 800 million euros ($1.09 billion) from a private equity consortium. The news stoked market expectations of a possible acquisition of the outstanding 40.79% stake in its Hungarian unit Magyar Telekom Nyrt. (MTELEKOM.BU). Magyar Telekom's share price jumped more than 4% in early Monday trading.

Analysts, however, said Deutsche Telekom is unlikely to make an offer for the minority stake in its Hungarian subsidiary at current prices, given the unit's feeble growth outlook.

Magyar Telekom was trading up 4.3% at HUF318 at 1119 GMT.
