China Goldmines plc announces that the Annual Report and Financial Statements
for the year ended 30 June 2007 were posted to shareholders today, together with
a notice convening an Annual General Meeting ("AGM").

The AGM of the Company will be held on Monday 28 January 2008 at 11.00am at the
offices of Brewin Dolphin Limited, 12 Smithfield Street, London, EC1A 9BD.

Copies of Annual Report and Financial Statements and the notice of AGM have been
