Update on Bulk Sampling Programme
at Nayega Manganese Project in Togo
Keras Resources plc, the AIM listed mineral resource company, is
pleased to announce an update on the 10,000 tonne bulk sampling
metallurgical testwork programme at the Nayega Manganese Project in
northern Togo ('Nayega'). The bulk sampling programme is fully
funded by a major producer of manganese-based alloys.
-- Development of 10,000 tonne bulk sampling metallurgical
testwork programme remains on schedule ahead of intended shipping
by the end of January 2019
-- Mining and screening phase on target with approximately 6,000
tonnes +12mm manganese already pre-screened on the scrubber plant
feed stockpile
-- 6km water pipeline now 80% complete and all water
reticulation equipment air freighted to Lomé ready for
installation
-- 6,500m(3) lined storage dam complete and expected to be at
capacity prior to the commissioning of the scrubber plant
-- Scrubber plant expected in Lomé on or around 22 November 2018
due to inclement sailing conditions
Russell Lamming, Chief Executive Officer of Keras, commented,
"Activity on site continues to gain momentum as we advance towards
the delivery of the 10,000 tonnes of manganese ore for the
pyrometallurgical testwork which is scheduled at the end of
January. Our initial planning for the bulk sampling incorporated
contingencies such as the delay in the delivery of the scrubber
plant so the overall timetable is not expected to be negatively
impacted. All other components of the bulk sample are progressing
according to plan and we look forward to delivering the 10,000
tonnes of manganese ore for the pyrometallurgical testwork at the
end of January.
