Western Coal Provides Notice of Fiscal Q3-2011 Results and Conference Call

Vancouver, BC, February 9, 2011 - Western Coal Corp. (TSX: WTN, WTN.WT and AIM: WTN) (the "Company" or "Western") announces that it expects to release its fiscal Q3 2011 results (for the quarter ending December 31, 2010) on Thursday February 10, 2011, after market trading hours in Canada and before the market opens in London on Friday February 11, 2011.

The Company's senior management will host a conference call and webcast on Friday February 11, 2011 at 8:00am (Vancouver) / 4:00pm GMT (London) to discuss financial and operating results for fiscal Q3 2011.
