PR Newswire (US)
-- Jeep enthusiasts invited to submit their story at
www.jeep.com/soul2soul AUBURN HILLS, Mich., June 7
/PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- It was during a ride in a Jeep(R) in 1996
in State College, Pa., that country music's reigning first couple
Tim McGraw and Faith Hill decided to build a life together. That's
their Jeep story. What's yours? The brand wants to know in the
"Share Your Favorite Jeep Story" contest. Beginning on June 7,
2007, just as McGraw and Hill's "Jeep Presents Soul2Soul Tour 2007"
hits the road, the public is being invited to share their favorite
Jeep stories. They can be hilarious, thought-provoking, romantic or
odd, but must be an original tale. Essays must be submitted online
at http://www.jeep.com/soul2soul by 11:59 p.m. (EDT) on July 16 and
be no more than 750 words. Entries will be evaluated on originality
and creativity; humor, adventure or romance; appropriateness to the
Jeep brand; and proper use of grammar. The grand prize winner will
be awarded with the ultimate getaway -- a three-day, two-night trip
for two to Anaheim, Calif., to be in the front row for Jeep
Presents Soul2Soul Tour 2007 on Aug. 10. The prize package includes
roundtrip airfare, hotel accommodations, transportation, spending
money and VIP passes to a pre-show performance by McGraw and Hill.
"It's Tim and Faith's personal story about their Jeep that makes
the partnership with the brand so special," said John Plecha,
Director -- Jeep Brand Marketing & Global Communications. "But
it's not unlike the thousands of stories we hear each year from our
owners across the country. The 'Share Your Favorite Jeep Story'
contest is a perfect way to extend our partnership with Tim and
Faith to our owners." The Jeep brand announced in March that it
would be the title sponsor of McGraw and Hill's Soul2Soul Tour
2007, which kicks off on June 5 in Omaha and will include 44
performances, including first-ever performances throughout Canada,
over a nine week period. More information about tour stops and
dates can be found at http://www.soul2soul2007.com/. In addition,
McGraw will play a special concert at Camp Jeep, the brand's annual
"owner only" three-day mix of off-road driving and other family-
friendly outdoor activities, on July 26 at the Oak Ridge Estate in
Nelson County, Va., near Charlottesville. Registration and
additional information for Camp Jeep, which runs from July 26-28
and is open only to Jeep vehicle owners, are available at
http://www.jeep.com/campjeep. Camp Jeep registration is $295 per
vehicle. About the Jeep Brand The Jeep brand has expanded to seven
