Update on proposed Business Combination with Full Riches Investments Ltd ("FRI")

Following the announcement on December 1st of the proposed Business Combination
with Full Riches Investments, the Board of Gold Mines of Sardinia plc is pleased
to announce a further development. FRI is currently in talks with Gold Fields
Limited, in order to secure the joint venture partner required as a condition of
the Business Combination. Shareholders will be updated with further developments
in due course.
