                            Director's Shareholding

Mr E C Adams, a Non-Executive Director of Travis Perkins plc, today sold 750
ordinary shares in the Company. His wife, Mrs C R Adams, also today sold 750
ordinary shares in the Company. Both sales were at #12.51 per share. As a result
of these transactions, Mr Adams has a beneficial interest in 103,749 shares in
the Company representing 0.09 per cent of the issued share capital of the
Company.
