                                 Block Listing

Application has been made to the London Stock Exchange and the UK listing
Authority for a block listing of 1,480,000 ordinary shares of 20p each to be
admitted to the Official List and to trading on the London Stock Exchange's
market for listed securities. These shares will rank pari passu with existing
shares in issue.

The additional shares are to be issued as a result of future exercises under the
Burren Energy Long -Term Incentive Plan as to 1,121,063 ordinary shares and
under the Burren Energy Executive Share Option Scheme as to 358,937 ordinary
shares.
