Abbeycrest Plc announces that Michael Lever, Chairman and Chief Executive,
yesterday sold 40,000 shares in the Company (of which 20,000 were in his wife's
name) at a price of 64p. The sale of these shares was beneficial for tax
purposes and Mr Lever confirms he has no present intention of selling further
shares.

Mr Lever's resultant holding is 5,767,785 ordinary shares, representing 23.2% of
the issued share capital.
